We manufacture bespoke window frames, doors and other joinery products in our workshops at Rainford Junction using traditional methods. Matching original frames and doors moulds and beading etc. 

We carry out a lot of work on listed buildings, pubs and in conservation areas where the windows have to match the originals exactly.

Rainford Windows takes great pride in renovation work on traditional sliding sash window frames. We can replace the beading for draught proof beads and replace the sashes for double glazed sashes to keep the traditional look of the window frame often replicating the same moulds and sash horns and using the most thermally-efficient double glazed units available.

Rainford Windows manufactures from most timbers available, using American White Oak, European Oak and matches for Mahogany and Pitch Pine. All timber is sauced from sustainable forests and from renewable resources.

We fit Rehau UPVC for our casement window frames, residential doors, patios and French doors. These are of the highest quality and style with many colours are now available including traditional white, woodgrain and golden oak.

The PVCU sliding sashes that we install are from Veka who  offer some of the most energy efficient window frames on the market today. These windows will not rot, peel, crack or warp, no matter what the weather throws at them. 

We install the best composite doors on the market from Rock Door.

Rockdoor products are available in range of quality doors including stylish Front Doors, Back Doors, Stable Doors and French Doors that are all manufactured to an individual specification, ensuring the quality of the all our doors is high. We stock some glass here at our work shop for emergency / temporary glazing and buy our double glazed units from Custom Glass in Liverpool. 

We offer a whole range of different types of glass products to suit your needs from all the latest energy and thermally efficient double glazing with Low ‘Emmisty’ ‘K’ Glass, warm edge spacer bars and Argon gas filled cavities to acoustic laminated glass to reduce sound. Self cleaning glass, tinted glass and other solar roofing glass is available. Triple glazing is also available.

A lot of our work is replacing failed or misted double glazed units in existing window frames. This is a much cheaper alternative than having to replace the window frame. We can replace the glass units in timber, PVCU or aluminium window frames, doors or patios. You can replace with like-for-like glass or upgrade to more thermally efficient glass. 

With our timber workshops we can easily make new beading or cill noseings, sashes or other parts if required to avoid heavy costs of having to replace the window frame. A common occurrence in modern window frames hung on friction hinges is that the hinge can break and not locate and shut correctly, leaving a gap on the hinge side, letting the wind howl through. These can be easily replaced along with new handles if required.

A popular choice for noise reduction and for heat retention is to fit slim line secondary glazing to the interior of the window frames.  This is common in older traditional properties where the window may be very expensive to replace and PVCU not acceptable as could alter the external appearance of the window frame and house. The aluminium secondary glazing is fitted in the internal reveal and any glazing bars or midrails can line up with transoms or glazing bars in the existing window.  This is one of the most effective way to reduce noise from heavy traffic.

We supply and fit bi-fold doors in timber, PVCU and aluminium. A bi-folding door fills a room with light, making it feel bigger, brighter and more beautiful.
